The Hospital

The Hospital is a 2006 drama starring Jerry Yan, Leon Dai, Janine Chang, Zhang Guozhu, Ng Man Tat and Tang Zhiping. It directed by Cài Yuè Xun and was produced by Yang Ming International Production. The show comprises thirtynine 60-minute episodes and was boardcasted on free-to-air China Television in 1-5 August 2006 to 6 October 2006, Mondays to Fridays at 20:00. The Hospital's narrative is dependant on the 2000 book of the same title by Taiwanese author Hou Wenyong. It depicts prestige and the power struggle in a federal clinic in Taiwan, in addition to the human connections within the area. Because of the resemblances in the title and also narrative putting, Hou's publication is often compared with all the Western book Shiroi Kyot?, written by Toyoko Yamasaki. Both works are accommodated into television set in Asia. In 2007the drama won Best Actress Actor in a Television Series and Best Directing for a Television Series and was nominated for eight awards at the 42nd Golden Bell awards.
